Kids Yoga Overview
A creative and fun way for young yogis to learn various yoga postures through games and activities. Learning postures in a fun way will help students to develop a greater sense of balance and improved coordination. The instructor will also guide students through breathwork which helps to regulate the nervous system. In addition, active games will help improve students cardiac fitness and bring about self awareness. Emotional balance will be created through relaxation activities geared toward children ages 5-9.
It is recommended that practitioners wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. Suggestions include leggings, athletic shorts, tank tops, t-shirts or something similar in nature. Socks are not to be worn during yoga classes as they could ultimately cause injury.
