Tween + Teen Yoga Overview
This Vinyasa based class is geared toward the interests and needs of students ages 10-17. Students are guided through a flow that challenges them physically while building a sense of mindfulness. Appropriate, yet popular and current music is used as accompaniment while students step away from the outside world and become present on their mat. This ultimately helps them achieve a greater sense of self, creates greater emotional balance and helps them to improve concentration.
It is recommended that practitioners wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. Suggestions include leggings, athletic shorts, tank tops, t-shirts or something similar in nature. Socks are not to be worn during yoga classes as they could ultimately cause injury.
