Showcase Dress Rehearsals
Participation in your dancer’s scheduled dress rehearsal is mandatory. The dress rehearsal is intended for students to become familiar with the stage, and understand where they should stand in their dance formations. Dress rehearsal ultimately helps dancers feel comfortable, confident and prepared for the stage. Lighting, music cues, set changes, and all other logistics for an organized and professional performance, are rehearsed so that the students make the best impression possible. We run an organized and timely dress rehearsal.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled rehearsal time.
Please arrive in the first performance costume (if your dancer has multiple routines), with hair and make-up done. You should be ready to dance!
Showcase
Our year-end Showcase allows our dancers the chance to shine! This is their chance to show off new skills they have learned after a season of hard work and dedication.
Parents or guardians should bring the students backstage to the dressing room, where they will be checked in at their assigned table. Students will remain backstage for the entire performance (approximately 1 hour). One parent is allowed to change their child for the next dance. Dancers will be assigned to a table in the dressing room by class. Each table will have a dedicated helper assigned to the class, who will sit with the dancers while they are waiting for their routine to go on stage. Parents are not allowed to wait in the dressing room after dropping off their child. Parents will only be allowed in the dressing room to change dancers into her next costume.
We try our best each season to coordinate sibling and multi-class students in our performances. In some circumstances, we are unable to make this happen due to capacity limits + available staff. We do our best to keep our shows short + prompt, to keep your dancers happy and entertained backstage.

PRE-ORDERS
PROGRAM SHOUTOUTS + ADS
Each year Etoile publishes an annual program for the Showcase. A personal “Shoutout” section, as well as commercial ads, are available for purchase.
You can purchase a ¼, ½, or full-page ad to wish your dancer good luck.
The deadline for submissions is May 10th.
FLOWERS + BALLERINA BEARS
Flowers + Ballerina Bears will be available at the Showcase to purchase - pre-ordering always saves time and helps! Your pre-order will be available for pickup at the show venue (see flower table)
*ETOILE SHOWCASE T-SHIRTS
One Showcase t-shirt per family is included this year in your annual registration fee. We do need you to fill in sizing information for your dancer’s complimentary t-shirt directly in the parent portal. Please log in, and select “costumes” under the “Info” tab at the top of the portal menu. You will be able to enter your dancer’s size there. If your dancer is enrolled in more than one class, please only enter ONE size in ONE class. If you need to purchase additional Showcase t-shirts (i.e. siblings, parents, etc.), please use the link provided below. Each Showcase t-shirt has our theme “Life’s a Game: Roll the Dice, Play the Moments” on the back. All sizes are unisex and available in sizes XS Child - Adult XXXL. The shirt is optional, however, dancers will have the option to wear them in our finale.
